The biggest issue faced by the HR is change management is found particularly challenging for personal management. A greater focus on training might be needed so as to prepare them for dealing with change management. The next biggest challenge is leadership development which is required to be a critical strategic initiative. HR professionals have the responsibility of providing the necessary structures, tools, procedures and points of view so that the best choices are made and future leaders of the organization are developed. The WFPMA report states that leadership development has been globally identified as a critical strategic initiative to ensure retention of the right employees, internal performance is supported in the organizational culture to gain market position and managers have the potential of becoming the future leaders in order to ensure long-term operability of the organization. The third major challenge is the measurement of the effectiveness of HR as it is a key factor driving the improvement in a company. Much like any other area, results need to be managed in this profession also regarding transaction management and how much positive influence they have in the business. Analyzing the effectiveness of HR marks the beginning of a transformation of the role of the HR from an administrative function to a true strategic partner of the organization. According to the WFPMA survey, organizational effectiveness is believed to be a critical issue for HR in the future.
